Photoactivatable β-catenin in organoids
- Category: Scientific Collaboration
- Year: 2018-2019
- Lab: Prof. Dr. Bastiaens at Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology
This is a collaboration during my doctoral research with Prof. Dr. Bastiaens Group at Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology.
During this collaboration I helped setting up an experiment where we could photoactivate Wnt-pathway in specific cells in organoids. We performed live imaging for 2 to 7 days of organoids while they developed. I used active contours to segment them out and then machine learning to classify them. By means of K-Nearest Neighbours and Hu Moments, I estimated a map of trajectories to classify and analyze how far they were from an oncogenic shape. The code used for analysis can be found in Organ(oid_anal)yzer.
